A Weekend full of F...

F for family!

And fun!

I tricked you all.

You totally thought it was going to be F for something else.

Well, y'know what that says about you, don't it.

Just kidding, I love you all.

So.

This weekend was full of awesome sauce, wanna hear all about it?

I know ya do.

So, Saturday morning, Cuinn and the babe and I had a picture day with our new favorite photographer. For reals. She is amazing! In fact, she's so amazing, Aislynn and I are getting pictures again next Saturday. (Well, Aislynn and her little BFF M are getting halloween pictures done together. But I'll still be there. So y'know, cool.) Dana is so great. She is a kindergarten teacher, for real, and does photography for pretend. And by pretend I mean she does it for a second job, but she could probably just quit teaching and be a photographer, because she is that amazing.

For serious, I am gushing over here. She didn't even pay me to say all that stuff. She doesn't need to though, she's amazing.

Check out for yourself!

Yeah! Amazing! And these are just the sneak peek ones. We get all the pictures in a week or two. I'll post my favorites when I get them.

Anyway, so Saturday morning started with a bang. We got a couple family shots in too, but it was really mostly just for Aislynn. Can you say Christmas cards? See how I have planned ahead this year? See how smart I am? See? See?!? SEE?!?!?

OK, I might have just eaten two sugar cookies that also have about an inch of icing on them and are basically just round chunks of sugar with extra sugar on top. So this post might come across a little scary. Just go with it.

So after the amazing pictures morning, I dropped Cuinn off at work and I went to hang out with my bestie, J. I have missed her lately. She's been busy with her mom this week and I haven't been able to hang with her. So it was cool that I could see her for a bit.

While I was there, my sister in law, Am, called and said, "Hey, butt face, we're here."

Ok, she didn't really say that.

But she did say that she was here and where was I.

So I said goodbye to my bestie and went over to Cuinn's store to meet up with my bro, S, and his woman Am, and her son Ai.

Ha ha, Ai. Artificial Intelligence. Like a robot. Just kidding though. He's a smart kid. And a real boy.

So they all said hello to my very handsome husband and then we went back to our place to wait until he was done work.

Ai is a 6 year old boy though. And he got bored pretty quickly in my apartment, that only has baby toys in it.

So we decided it was time to go to the park.

So we bundled up my gorgeous babe, ourselves of course too, and headed on over to the park on a crisp, fall, afternoon/evening thing.

Doesn't my girl look so cute?

Oh yeah, this post is also going to have tons of pics. Deal with it. You know you love it.

So we hung out at the park for about an hour, and then Cuinn showed up! Yay!

So, after the park, we went home and made a really delicious dinner of spaghetti with ground turkey instead beef. It was delicious.

Actually, wait, Cuinn, don't read that. I did NOT trick you into eating a healthier option. It really was ground beef and nothing was changed. Don't worry my husband, I know how much you loathe change.

So the next day, we went to church in the morning and then went apple picking in the afternoon.

Here are some pics.

Because a picture is worth 1000 words, and I am just too darn tired tonight to type, so just read about our apple picking through these pictures.

Me and my sister in law Am

Attempted a family self portrait

Aislynn thoroughly enjoyed picking apples, and eating them with Daddy!

Pick an apple...

So, just to explain those last couple of pictures.

We were apple picking, and we got to a lane that had REALLY TALL TREES! Well, tall for apple trees anyway. And I saw some perfect looking apples right at the top of the trees. I, of course, needed those apples. Not the ones that I could reach. Oh no. I needed the ones right at the top.

So I used my umbrella.

That did not work.

So Am tried to lift me up to reach them.

Again, that did not work.

My brother tried to get them.

Even HE wasn't tall enough.

So the obvious solution was to put my nephew on my brothers shoulders and make him get them with the umbrella.

I don'y have a picture of that because I don't have permission to post his picture up here on this ol' bloggity blog blog. But rest assured. It was awesome.

Here we are with out gorgeous apple. That we all worked so hard to get.

We were busting a gut the whole weekend, and we're doing it all over again next weekend, because it's Thanksgiving!!!!!

So basically, my weekend was awesome. My home was a little louder, a little more crowded, and a little more chaotic, but, isn't that what family is?

I hope you all had fantastical weekends too! And that you blog about it! Then send me a link! Because I will totally read your blog!

A linky uppy thingy!!

Hey Tuesday Linker Uppers!

Today is Tuesday. Which means it`s a Tuesday Linky Uppy Party!

Today I am linking up with Miss Mommy for her Tuesday Ten. Basically it's a list of ten things that you make on a Tuesday. Then link up to it.

Umm....duh...

So here is my list for the week!

Ten Awesome And Random Facts About This Chicky

1. I don't really like chocolate. Serious. I will eat a chocolate thing maybe once a year? I very rarely want to eat chocolate, I would much rather eat a big bag of chips than eat something sweet.

2. I just lied. I really love chocolate milk. So yeah. I'm a liar.

3. If it was acceptable to just be naked all of the time, I would be so totally ok with that. For reals. Also, if you come to my house without prior notice, it's going to take me a few minutes to answer the door, because I don't have any clothes on and I'm sure you don't want me answering the door in all my naked glory.

4. When I used to work at Tim Hortons, my boss thought she was being all cool when she said, "And you can eat all the donuts you want! For free!" I didn't care though. Because I really didn't like donuts. I wish I worked at Tims now though. Because now I love donuts. But...Cuinn would then be married to a 800 lb woman.

5. When I'm in the shower, I do all my weird voices and faces and dance moves that Cuinn makes fun of me for. If I do them by myself, I can pretend that it's a totally normal thing to do. Seriously, if you walked in on my in the shower, you would not be embarrassed about seeing me naked, you would be embarrassed about seeing me doing all sorts of weird dance moves while singing in a weird voice and making odd faces.

6. I rarely wash my pants. But really, do pants get that dirty?

7. If I had the choice between a week in a resort in the Bahama's and a week in Alaska, I would totally pick Alaska. I can't stand the heat. I would love it to be winter 6 months of the year, Spring for the other 6 months.

8. Having my family live far away has really shown me how strong I am. Yes, I really miss my parents, but I think Cuinn and I are doing very well for ourselves.

9. My cure for a really sad day? Gilmore Girls, and comfort food.

10. I have an issue that I really need to go to the doctor for, but I am so scared of being out of commision and not being able to care for Aislynn that I am just ignoring it until it goes away. Yes, I know that's irrational because it's probably going to get worse, but in my mind, if I have to have surgery or something, I don't know what I'll do with Aislynn, so I'm just going to keep ignoring it.

Well, there ya go. Ten random things about me. I hope you enjoyed it and that you go away thinking, "Man that girl is all kinds of awesome, I want to be her friend."

Because, I will TOTALLY be your friend!!

Go check out the other lists of ten!!

A peaceful moment...

Hey blogger buddies!

This is what the people in my house are doing at the moment:

(Cuinn's gonna kill me when he sees that)

So I am doing the blogger thing.

My amazingly, strong, awesome, sexy, super great dad and husband came home.

Can we just take a moment to say

HECK YES!!!!

The man of the house was in Quebec City for a conference for his work. He had a great time.

Oh, and by the way,

who's got two thumbs and just won All Star?

This guy!

No Big Deal.

Except, that it's a huge deal!

The All Star award is giving to two people per district who have basically been amazing. Best in the district and what have you. Well, Cuinn won it twice because there were only 2 people picked for 2 districts and he was in both of them. So he is amazing

I am so over the moon, ridiculously proud of him. He has worked tirelessly for his company and given so much of himself that he deserves it more than any other manager I know. Especially more than a few managers I know.

Anyway, I just had to share that with you all.

Right in this moment, my husband and my baby are sleeping. It is so quiet in my home and I am thinking about the last few days without my partner. It's been especially difficult this year. Mostly because we have a baby now. Not that she is a difficult by any stretch of the imagination. Sure, she is our little veloceraptor (She has a screech that will make your ears bleed. For real.), sure she has her moments of crying with her whole entire being, but really, she is the perfect baby. Sleeping through the night, no problems with breast feeding, has a smile that just light up our home. She's pretty much amazing. But even with all the amazing-ness, we've been really missing daddy.

But now he's home! And we're just so happy.

Yup, I started the first sentence with a But and the second one with an And. Deal with it. I ain't no english teacher.

With Cuinn home, it's made my week very easy. We've done a bit of a role reversal this week. Cuinn's been staying home with her, and I've been out bringing home the bacon.

I have started baby sitting to bring in a little extra moolah and Cuinn took a vacation day so he could have a few days to be with Aislynn and I before he heads back to work.

Cuinn and I have been realizing how hard it is to be the other person.

I really miss Aislynn when I'm out working. Like...really miss her. As in, I call Cuinn and tell him to bring her to me so I can feed her even though he has bottles for her.

Cuinn is finding out how difficult  and tiring it is to be home all day. He had to have a nap because he was so exhausted.

So, for now, I think we're happy with the status quo. I will continue being the stay at home mum, while keeping up with the baby sitting, and Cuinn will keep on going to work and bringing home the real money.

Another plus to having him home?

Date night.

We had our first date in 9 months.

Yup. 9 months.

Just in case you were wondering, Aislynn is 6 and a half months old. You can do the math.

It's just been incredibly difficult having a date night. Why do you ask? Well let me explain something.

Distance from our house to my parents house = 3559 miles

Distance from our house to Cuinn's parents house = 2052 miles

See what I'm getting at here?

Usually people begin with leaving their kiddos with family to go on dates, we don't have that option. BUT, we have made some really amazing friends here. Especially in our good friends Je and Ja. And Je just happened to be at home tonight so she watched our Aislynn while mum and daddy went out to dinner.

It was glorious.

We talked about everything but baby for 2 hours.

I did so much better than I thought I would. I missed her, I was thinking about her, but I forced myself to just go out and have a good time with my husband. And I did. And I'm so grateful for good friends.

Infact, we were so grateful, we brought her home some cheesecake and had our dessert with her!

So, basically this post is about how I love my man friend. I love my baby. I love our friends.

I also love how when I was out working, Cuinn put our baby in jail.

She, for some reason, really loves to play with the laundry basket. I can not get her away from the laundry basket. She likes it full, she likes it empty, she likes dirty laundry, she likes clean laundry. She's ridiculous.

OH, She also pulls herself up.

We are, for real, in trouble.

OH YEAH,

I also love that we're going to the apple orchard on Sunday. It's going to be the greatest day of my life.

Well, top 5 at least.

What are your plans for the next little while? Anything cool happening?
