A Win Or Two...

You know how sometimes a small thing happens and you feel like a superstar? Yeah, I love that too. I don'y get to feel that awesome often, but when I do... It's the best feeling in the world. Here are a few things I consider a win...

When I am driving through our tiny town, and I drive over the train tracks, then seconds later I hear the DING DING DING, signalling the train coming. You know what that means? I don't have to be stuck in our tiny towns 45 minute traffic. I get so excited I punch the air and yell, OH YEAH!!!

Sometimes, Aislynn wakes us up at 5:30 am. But sometimes, when she feels like loving us a lot, she sleeps in until 9. Do you know what it feels like to get to sleep in until 9? OH YEAH!!!

(I am assuming that every singly reader of this blog is woken up by children at un-godly hours. Please don't tell me otherwise. I am feeling good today.)

This one sounds kinda sad, but it has a silver lining and actually makes me happy. I love when you realize that a friend is just not the friend you thought before they can hurt your feelings. I would much rather know who are my homies before I get hurt. So I feel like that's a win too. OH YEAH!!!

Last night I had a very bad dream. I was married to someone else who I wasn't in love with at all, so I was cheating on that husband with Cuinn. Cuinn didn't ever want to get married, but he would tell me all the time that he loved me. I decided to leave my husband so that I could be with Cuinn. So I told my husband that I didn't want to be with him anymore and I went over to Cuinn's apartment to tell him the good news. I got there, but it turned out he was also married to someone else but had never told me. Worst dream of life. Know what's awesome though? I woke up, looked over, and Cuinn was snoring and drooling in my bed. Turns out it was just a dream and I had actually married the best guy in the world. OH YEAH!!!!

Free cookies. Need I say more? OH YEAH!!!!

Buying your 19 month old daughter a big girl bed, and for three nights straight she sleeps all by herself! OH YEAH!!!!

Driving through our very frustrating tiny town (seriously, the traffic in this tiny town does not make sense to me. Get your S*** together, tiny town.), knowing that it usually takes 20 minutes to get across town because I always get every red light. BUT, on this day, I got all greens. And no trains. And people were actually driving the speed limit and not 10 under. I got home from dropping Cuinn off in 8 minutes. OH YEAH!!!!

Cuinn and I have a special love for wings. When we first started dating our friends all used to go out for wings every Wednesday. We have special feelings towards wings. Unfortunately, the only good place to get them here is a really crappy pub. Terrible service. Over priced. Not really that great. I have been saying to Cuinn since we moved here, I wish Wild Wings was here. Guess what is being built right now, down town, within walking distance to us? You guessed it, Wild Wings. C'mon, say it with me, OH YEAH!!!!!!

Sometimes Aislynn whines. Most times I have no idea what she's whining about. Every once in a while though, I figure it out right away and I am able to give her exactly what she needs. First try! OH YEAH!!!!!

Being pregnant is... well... I don't know how to finish that statement. But I always find the first little while rough. Especially when I have a bit of a bump but I really just look fat, not pregnant. That makes me sad. Know what makes me happy though? When I put a shirt on and pants on and I don't have to change because the first thing I pulled on actually looks good! OH YEAH!!!!

Leftovers. That means I made a really good meal, but Cuinn and I used portion control and I am able to enjoy the meal all over again! OH YEAH!!!!

When every single toy is put away. Every. Single. Toy. OH YEAH!!!!

Surviving a Saturday by myself. All of my friends are spending the day with their hubby's while mine is working. I feel a little proud at the end of the day. OH YEAH!!!!

When my socks match. OH YEAH!!!!

When I finish a blog and people actually comment on it. OH YEAH!!!!

So, what do you consider a small, or big, win?

Getting to take a hot shower. Some days it's tricky, but if I time it just right, when Ava's asleep or otherwise distracted, I can get in a decently long shower, wash my hair, blow it dry, etc. Great feeling, and it makes the rest of my day seem about a hundred times better. WIN.
